Liberation Celebration/Paddle-Out (Pre-Juneteenth)

On Sunday, June 13th, 2021 from 11-3:00, BSCSC will host a Liberation Event in the pre-celebration of Juneteenth at Cowell’s Beach. The event will be broken out into three portions and consist of 1) pre-event: beach games, information/resource booths at Cowell's Beach, equipment rentals, a Main Street/Cowell’s beach clean-up, and a sand lesson for BSCSC members 2) Speaking Session for the opportunity to hear from community leaders, 3) Liberation paddle out with offerings. 

This will be a community event that is leading towards the annual Juneteenth Celebration at London Nelson Community Center. Black Surf Club members will be provided free equipment to ensure that they can attend/enjoy the event’s paddle-out/pop-up portion.
